About The Mt Miguel Alumni Foundation

 

The MMHS Foundation was founded in 2001 by several dedicated Alumni Band members. In 2005 the Alumni Foundation incorporated as a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization for the purpose of promoting charitable donations for student activities and school needs for our alma mater.

 

Mt. Miguel celebrated its 50th anniversary in 2007 and although it is currently in the midst of a significant renovation project there are many unfunded program and facility needs that the Alumni Foundation hopes to address. To date we have raised and contributed over $25,000 for student scholarships and various program needs by hosting alumni picnics, band concerts, selling concert CD‚Äôs and alumni polo shirts. Our 5 year goal is to grow our assets to $50,000, by raising $10,000 annually. This will allow us provide even more financial assistance to the students and school programs and help facilitate Mt. Miguel’s resurgence as one of the top schools in the County.

 

To achieve this lofty goal we need the assistance of all alumni and friends of Mt. Miguel High School. The Board of Directors of the MMHS Foundation would like to invite you make a donation to the Foundation or better yet become a member of the Foundation.

 

Your tax deductible donation or membership contribution will help fill the gap created by the continued reduction of State funds. Interested in establishing a scholarship in your name or that of a loved one? We can help.

 

Funds provided by the Foundation have provided for an annual Accolade Scholarship to one of the top students, annual support of the Marching Matadors, Athletics and the highly recognized Bio-Chem Science Department’s Annual Science Fair projects. In addition, funds raised in 2008 supported the Football Team’s first ever out of state trip to Utah, Finally, the Foundation provides a social networking website at www.mtmiguelalumni.com for all alumni to stay connected with their classmates and to organize class reunions, etc.

The Foundation is governed by a Board of Directors comprised of alumni, the Principal, and community leaders who believe in the importance of a strong and vital high school to our community.
