Letter from Principal Coover
Friday, October 9th, 2009 High School News, News, Uncategorized by mmhsadminHello Alumni!
We want to invite all Matador Alumni to join us at a special homecoming evening on Friday, October 23rd starting with a special alumni dinner at 4:30 pm. I’ve attached a flyer announcing the details. Come reminisce with retired faculty and former Matadors, visit the new, modernized school buildings, enjoy a beautiful El Torito dinner in the gym, and cheer on the Mount Miguel football team as they take on Granite Hills on our new football field. The Marching Matadors will be in full force as we hope to have the largest gathering of alumni band members in the history of the school. The school is looking forward to enjoying the combined alumni and current Marching Matadors as they play for the homecoming crowd and Matador football team. What a night! Don’t miss it.
You can be proud that the current Matadors are pumped up for the school year and anxious to compete and achieve in the classroom and beyond! Most of our motivation comes from our thirty-six (36) point gain in our Academic Performance Index (API) the second largest gain in San Diego County and the largest in the Grossmont District!
By the way, our football team is 3-1 and ranked #16 in the county! You will be proud to see them in action and cheer them on to victory! Join your alumni friends, bring a friend and see you at the dinner! Tickets $20 (includes dinner and game) at the door.
